We are an engineering project team that is open to students of all majors. From designing the hull and creating the perfect concrete mix to constructing the mold and racing the canoe, there is something for everyone!
Who says concrete can't float?
Here at UC Davis, the concrete canoe team challenges everything you thought you knew about concrete. Building quality canoes from scratch since the '70s, the canoe team competes in the annual MidPac conference, and has even appeared at the national competition. Open to students of all majors, concrete canoe is by far the most diverse student competition available. From designing the hull and creating the perfect concrete mix, to constructing the mold and racing the canoe, there is something for everyone.
